TESTING: NOT
AN AFTERTHOUGHT

Trustworthy inspection practices and laboratory work is how you know for sure.

Envirocheck takes inspections seriously—so seriously, that we built our own laboratories. Having our own labs allows us to fully control the quality of our testing to meet the vigorous standards demanded by the harmful elements we test for.

Gone are the days of sending in samples and waiting days or longer for the lab to process them. With Envirocheck, you will get accurate results on a faster timeline: typically same day or next. This allows the abatement and/or claims process to move on faster.

LABORATORY SERVICES YOU CAN RELY ON

Envirocheck thoroughly monitors quality control through a detailed program evaluating and documenting the ability to consistently reproduce analytical results. To accomplish this, we have developed a standard set of protocols that encompass sample collection, handling, analysis, and reporting. Data quality is evaluated based on both replicate analysis and inter-laboratory comparison.

WHY YOU CAN RELY ON ENVIROCHECK TESTING:

All samples taken or received by Envirocheck undergo proper chain-of-custody and log-in documentation. Contamination prevention of samples is assured because of our standard practice of only using qualified personnel and approved containers. Analytical quality is maintained by employing quality control procedures such as 10% random replicate analysis, inter-laboratory round robin sample exchanges, daily reference samples/slides, and participation in proficiency testing programs, all under the oversight of quality control managers. ASBESTOS BULK SAMPLES—POLARIZED LIGHT MICROSCOPY (PLM)

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) utilizes its National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) to continuously assess and inspect laboratories to make sure they are meeting or exceeding the tenets of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories". Of primary concern is to make certain we follow all of the quality control procedures we've committed to, such as:

  • Laboratory staff analyze reference samples daily.
  • 10% of samples analyzed are subjected to random QC (re-analysis) by a different analyst.
  • Contamination checks of the lab stations are performed daily.
  • Records of reference sample analyses, QCs, and contamination checks are reviewed by management monthly.
  • The labs participate in a round robin wherein all of our lab staff's analytical capabilities are compared and trended.
ASBESTOS AIR SAMPLES—PHASE CONTRAST MICROSCOPY (PCM)

The laboratories are committed to upholding the requirements of our Quality Assurance Manual. Additionally, our Orange lab is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association's (AIHA-LAP) Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program (IHLAP). Quality control measures include:

  • Laboratory staff analyze reference samples daily.
  • 10% of samples analyzed are subject to repeat analysis.
  • Microscopes are checked daily to make sure that all of the phase contrast elements are clean and lined up properly.
  • Records of reference sample analyses, QCs, and microscope checks are reviewed by management monthly.
  • The labs participate in a round robin wherein all of our lab staff's analytical capabilities are compared and trended.
FUNGI BY CULTURE AND DIRECT EXAMINATION “SPORE TRAPS”

The laboratories are committed to upholding the requirements of our Quality Assurance Manual. Additionally, our Orange lab is accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association's (AIHA-LAP) Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP). Quality control measures include:

  • Laboratory staff analyze reference samples daily.
  • Laboratory staff analyze blind cultures of fungi (yeast and mold) monthly.
  • 10% of samples analyzed are subject to repeat analysis.
  • Microscopes are checked daily to make sure condensers are centered and optics are clean.
  • Records of reference sample analyses, QCs, and microscope checks are reviewed by management monthly.
  • The labs participate in a round robin wherein all of our lab staff's analytical capabilities are compared and trended.
