Envirocheck was called out after a large rainstorm to assess water damage and address questions about environmental testing. Envirocheck’s environmental field consultants met with the adjuster and the restoration contractors on site with a testing protocol.

Envirocheck’s environmental field consultants performed on-site initial asbestos sampling as well as initial mold sampling for all units damaged. Once sampling was complete, Envirocheck provided results to all parties above along with a recommendation on how to proceed.

Once the restoration contractor completed the necessary repairs, Envirocheck was then called back in to perform clearance testing to ensure the damaged apartments were safe for the tenants to return.

Envirocheck was called out due to initial water damage, and performed an initial mold investigation along with bacteria sampling to determine what type of mold and bacteria growth had occurred. Once the environmental field consultant determined the type of mold and bacteria present, recommendations and a scope of work were given to the adjuster and remediation contractor.

The restoration was performed successfully.

Envirocheck was contacted to perform bulk asbestos testing on the underground piping systems at the base to first determine if the piping systems contained asbestos materials. Lab analysis determined that asbestos materials had been found in the underground piping at the base where the piping removal was to take place.

Envirocheck then wrote a work plan to discuss with the contractor to determine best procedures for removing the piping system at the base. Envirocheck was hired and aided contractors with recommendations to do on-site project monitoring and conduct PCM air sampling to confirm the removal and process was being done correctly and to mitigate asbestos exposure. The project was completed and provided clearance testing when the job was complete.

Envirocheck performed initial mold inspections and reported recommendations for remediation for a large housing development. Environmental field consultants tested over 3,000 homes over the course of 3 months.

A full report and project recommendations were provided to the contractors. Once remediation was complete, Envirocheck provided clearance testing for each home deeming the space habitable for residents.

John has a diverse background in environmental consulting, going back to 1990. He has performed and managed over ten thousand environmental consulting projects. His experience includes the design, performance and management of microbiological, lead-based paint, asbestos, phase one site assessments, radon, and many other environmental projects. He has been involved in education, and has given lectures on health effects, abatement, worker safety, investigation and awareness for asbestos, lead, and microbiological concerns. He also has eight years of experience in computer science and software engineering, including the development of several custom software packages utilized in the environmental industry.
